Mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) is a viral disease that has circulated in the United States and globally at low but persistent levels since the 2022 outbreak, with periodic increases in cases. Symptoms of mpox include a rash, swollen lymph nodes, and fever. There are two types of mpox: Clade I and Clade II.
