Skillsusa Back To School Challenge

Back to School, Back to Skills: Simple Green Teams Up With SkillsUSA

As students head back into the classroom this fall, Simple Green is celebrating a partnership that puts real-world skills front and center. We've teamed up with SkillsUSA, the #1 workforce development organization that prepares students for successful careers in the skilled trades, technical industries, and service professions, to launch the SkillsUSA Back-to-School Display Challenge, and we're inviting CTE chapters nationwide to get involved.

What's the Challenge?

Participating SkillsUSA chapters are invited to create an informational display at their school, career fair, or community event — a hands-on project that puts organizational and presentation skills to the test right at the start of the year. The challenge runs August 3rd through October 1st, 2026.

Building a display gives chapter members an early opportunity to practice the same planning and teamwork skills they'll rely on throughout the year in their career and technical education (CTE) program, while also raising their chapter's visibility within their school and community.

How to Enter

To enter, participating chapters need to include the official Welcome Back to School printouts from SkillsUSA and Simple Green as part of their display, and those printouts need to be visible in the photo submission.

A Giveaway from Simple Green

The first 20 qualifying school chapter submissions will receive a special prize from Simple Green: a set of products selected specifically for their CTE program. Culinary program? Instructors get Crystal to help keep the test kitchen spotless. Welding program? We'll send along Simple Green Anti-Spatter. The goal is simple: show students that safe, effective cleaning is part of doing the job right.

We can't wait to see what each chapter puts together. Good luck to everyone participating!

Why We're Partnering with SkillsUSA

Working closely with educators and industry leaders, SkillsUSA helps ensure that the middle school, high school, and college students it serves graduate technically proficient and ready to meet real-world workforce standards.

Through this partnership, we are investing in the future workforce of America by helping students and instructors integrate effective and responsible cleaning practices into their education and career.

From automotive, welding, construction, manufacturing, and culinary arts, SkillsUSA students are the next generation of industry professionals. We are excited to introduce them to effective cleaning solutions that support safer practices and align with sustainability initiatives.
