HOW TO REMOVE SOAP SCUM
When soap and hard water dries, soap scum is left behind, leaving stubborn, unsightly spots on glass, granite, stainless steel sinks, shower doors, pool tiles, irons, toilets, tea kettles, and other surfaces. Cleaning and removing these stubborn water stains can sometimes be tough, and even dangerous, depending on your choice of descaler.
Lime Calcium Surface Residue Remover is specially formulated to effectively dissolve and remove soap scum without traditional harmful acids. It can be used both as a spray and as a highly-effective foam.
DIRECTIONS FOR REMOVING SOAP SCUM
- Spray onto surface. Thoroughly coat the area with Simple Green Lime Calcium Surface Residue Remover or spray the cleaner onto a damp sponge or cloth to apply it.
- Soak on the surface for 1-2 minutes to penetrate the soap scum.
- Scrub using a stiff, non-metallic brush to loosen heavy deposit build-up around fixtures.
- Rinse thoroughly. Immediately rinse the surface with water.
- Dry. To ensure it is completely dry – since you don't want water spots left behind – use a squeegee or a lint-free cloth to remove excess water.
If you're faced with stubborn soap scum on a shower head or faucet, some Simple Green and a small plastic bag provide an easy and frugal fix.
- Pour. Fill about half of your plastic bag with Lime Calcium Surface Residue Remover.
- Attach. Fasten the bag to the shower head or the end of the faucet using a rubber band or twist-tie.
- Soak. Leave the bag hanging and the clogged faucet or shower head submerged for about 10 minutes.
- Scrub. Remove the bag and scrub the fixture with a stiff, non-metallic brush.
- Rinse and wipe dry. Immediately rinse the area thoroughly and wipe it with a dry microfiber or lint-free cloth.
TIPS:
- Do not use on mirror backings or allow prolonged contact with natural marble, terrazzo, stone, wood, colored grout, enameled particle board, carpet, fabric, or wallpaper. If spilled, wipe up and rinse with water.
- Be sure to spot test before use on brass or specialty coated fixtures and surfaces. See product label for other surface compatibility.
- Follow all label safety precautions.
