Bruce FaBrizio is most widely known as the Founder, CEO and Chairman of Sunshine Makers, Inc., the company that manufactures Simple Green cleaning products. But to those who know him best, he is an innate philanthropist, encouraging people to "Think Globally, Act Locally" as a way to affect positive change.

Bruce's initial interest in environmentally friendly products stemmed from witnessing a fatal chemical accident while working with his father in the 1970s. They knew they could develop something better than the existing dangerous chemicals then being used. The result was Simple Green, a non-toxic and biodegradable cleaner that is safer for people, animals and the planet.

Bruce grew the company from the humble beginnings of a single-van operation to a global enterprise. Simple Green was first used to remove tannic acid from coffee roasting machinery. It then extended to automotive and industrial customers who used it to remove grease and stains from equipment and flooring. In 1979, just as initial retail marketing efforts were beginning to pay off, Bruce's father died. Bruce managed to keep the business alive and in 1981 reamed it Sunshine Makers, Inc. He introduced Simple Green into several new markets nationally including Hardware and Do It Yourself centers, Grocery and Drug stores, Club stores and GSA (government) classes of trade. Today, the family of products has expanded to encompass consumer, professional and industrial and institutional product lines, making Simple Green products a part of everyday life in millions of homes and commercial and industrial sites.

Sunshine Makers, Inc. is headquartered in Huntington Beach, CA with satellite offices all over the globe. Despite the company's extensive growth, one thing has remained unchanged - its commitment to environmental responsibility and human safety. In the early 1990's, Bruce created Sunshine Makers, Inc.'s Environmental Technology Division dedicated to maintaining the company's cutting-edge position in these areas. The safety and efficacy claims made by Simple Green have been proven repeatedly by independent laboratories and third party testing facilities. Based upon environmental test data and credentials, Simple Green was the first cleaner ever to carry the iconic International Red Cross Disaster Relief symbol on its label. Today, Simple Green products are part of the US EPA Safer Choice, USDA Biobased, and Green Seal programs, listed in the EPA National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan, carry NSF registrations, meet LEED building requirements, and more. Most importantly, however, they meet Bruce's unwavering mission to provide products that work better than expected, are safer than thought possible and are made in the USA.

In addition Sunshine Makers, Inc. Bruce has also founded two non-profit organizations. In 1989, Bruce established the non-profit EGBAR (Everything's Gonna Be Alright) Foundation, supporting improvements in environmental education. Learn more at www.egbar.org.

In 2014, alongside his wife Viviana Soldano FaBrizio, he also recently founded Amore For Dogs, a dog support and rescue charity dedicated to ensuring all dogs can find loving families. Learn more at www.amorefordogs.org

Through his work with Sunshine Makers, Inc., the EGBAR Foundation, Amore For Dogs and his own personal contributions, Bruce has provided critical support to the National Park Service, Clean Up the World, the Gary Sinise RISE program, LA Conservation Corps, the Bolsa Chica Conservancy, the SEA Lab, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Make-A-Wish, and countless nationwide schools and community clean up groups, animal rescue and rehab facilities.

Bruce's vision and leadership for a safer environment continues to prove invaluable both locally and globally.
