HOW TO WASH BABY CLOTHES

What You Need

Were you prepared for the seemingly endless pile of laundry that came with your little bundle of joy? It may seem like a lot but washing the sometimes-overwhelming amount of baby laundry doesn't have to be a laborious process. You just need to make sure you use the right cleaning agent.

Your baby's skin requires a gentle laundry detergent. It's possible to remove tough stains like grease, grass, diaper leaks, and more without harsh chemicals that could irritate your baby's delicate skin.

Fortunately, Simple Green Laundry is gentle enough for sensitive skin but strong enough to handle the family laundry. It works hard to remove tough soils and stains like spit-up, formula, and breast milk, as well as grass, ink, and more, eliminating the need for a separate baby detergent.

The formula uses plant-based surfactants and a smart enzyme system with no chlorine, optical brighteners, borax, or phosphates. It does not contain detectable amounts of the carcinogen 1,4-dioxane, or endocrine-disrupting phthalates and NPEs, which are found in some other brands.

Directions for Washing Baby Clothes:

It's a good idea to pre-soak or pre-wash clothes with heavy soils. Check the garment label for care instructions. If in doubt about a fabric, test on a hidden area first. See product label for the recommended dose per load.

Separate clothing items by color and wash in individual loads. Delicate fabrics like silk, wool, and lace should also be washed separately, either by hand or on the delicate cycle. In addition, you can wash more delicate pieces in a mesh bag.

HE Washing Machines

  1. Add clothes. Put clothes loosely in the washer. Do not overload.
  2. Add detergent. Pour Simple Green Laundry into the dispenser.
  3. Start the wash cycle. Start washer.

Conventional Top-Loading Washing Machines

  1. Start washer. Turn on the washer and allow the tub to fill with water.
  2. Add detergent. Pour Simple Green Laundry into the water as the tub fills.
  3. Add clothes. Place laundry loosely in the machine. Do not overload. Wash normally.

Tip: Overloading a washer inhibits thorough cleaning and rinsing. Running smaller loads may take longer, but the results will be much better.
