How to Clean Tile Countertops
To keep your tile countertops looking beautiful you'll need to clean them regularly with non-abrasive materials. Wipe up food spills, toothpaste and even water immediately to avoid staining the tile or grout. The grout between tiles is porous and easily attracts dirt, especially in kitchen and bathroom countertops. If your grout requires cleaning follow the grout cleaning tip.
- Spray Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner on the countertop. For heavy grime and grease, apply full strength Simple Green and let soak for a minute or more. For general cleaning & daily care, dilute about 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of Simple Green to 1 cup of water.
- Scrub, if necessary. Use a sponge or non-abrasive cloth for a thoroughly clean, residue-free surface without scratching your counters.
- Wipe & rinse with clean water. Thoroughly wipe down the counter with a damp sponge, non-abrasive cloth or paper towel to ensure a residue-free surface.
When in doubt about a surface, always spot test a small, non-prominent area first such as the underside of the ledge on your counter.
