How to Clean Hardwood Floors

How to Clean Hardwood Floors

When cleaning hardwood floors, it's important to use a cleaner that won't damage the finish or the surface of the wood. Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner is great for cleaning up spills and scuffmarks, and tackling dirty areas without degrading the finish of your wood flooring like vinegar or other acidic chemicals.

DIRECTIONS:

If you're unsure about how Simple Green will affect a surface, be sure to spot test before cleaning.

  1. Sweep the floor first.
  2. Mix 1 oz. of Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner with 4 cups of water and lightly mist the solution onto the floor in sections. Use a damp microfiber mop to spread the solution.
  3. To avoid warping the wood, don't over-wet the surface or let liquid pool.
  4. For dirty spots and grout scrub with a soft bristle brush.
  5. Dry each section with a dry cloth after cleaning.
