HOW TO CLEAN BUGS OFF A CAR

Directions for Cleaning Bugs Off a Car:

Tip: Work in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight, so the cleaner doesn't dry up.

Hard Surfaces (exterior paint, glass, and trim)

  1. Pre-Wet surface. Use a garden hose to lightly wet the surface with water before applying cleaner.
  2. Apply cleaner. Working in small sections, either pour full strength Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner into a bucket or container and dip a soft sponge, car wash brush, or non-abrasive scrubber into the solution or saturate a soft sponge, car wash brush, or non-abrasive scrubber with the cleaner. Then gently apply it to all affected areas of the vehicle's exterior.
  3. Scrub surface. Working in small sections, use a soft bristle brush or non-abrasive scrubbing pad to scrub over the affected areas of the vehicle's exterior in circular or back-and-forth motions.
  4. Rinse surface. Rinse scrubbed section with clean water using the garden hose.
  5. Dry surface. Using a microfiber cloth or a lint free cloth, dry the rinsed section thoroughly. Alternatively, allow it to air dry in the shade and out of direct sunlight.

Fabric or Carpet (interior or seats)

  1. Remove Debris. Remove loose dirt or debris by vacuuming or removing by hand.
  2. Dampen stain. Fill an empty spray bottle with clean water and lightly spray the stain to dampen it.
  3. Apply cleaner. Spray full strength Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner onto stain.
  4. Let sit. Let the cleaner to sit for a few minutes on the stain to allow the solution to penetrate the soil.
  5. Blot stain. Gently rub and blot the stain with a clean damp towel or absorbent cloth.
  6. Dry area. Blot with a dry microfiber towel to remove excess moisture, then allow to air dry in the shade and out of direct sunlight.
