HOW TO POLISH QUARTZ COUNTERTOPS

What You Need

Quartz surfaces are naturally hard, scratch-resistant, and ideal for countertops in kitchens and bathrooms. Known for their durability, they can handle temperature changes and daily wear from cutting, dragging, and placing heavy items. However, proper cleaning and care are essential to preserve their long-lasting beauty and shine.

Harsh or acidic cleaners like bleach, oven sprays, limescale removers, and acetone can damage quartz by discoloring or breaking down the resin that binds the material. To maintain the polished finish, use a non-abrasive quartz cleaner designed specifically for stone surfaces.

Simple Green Granite & Stone Cleaner gently lift dirt and grime without harming quartz. Follow up with Simple Green Granite & Stone Polish for a streak-free shine on quartz, granite, marble, Silestone®, Corian®, and other natural or engineered stone surfaces.

DIRECTIONS FOR POLISHING QUARTZ COUNTERTOPS:

  1. Spray Simple Green Granite & Stone Cleaner and wipe off with a non-abrasive, absorbent cloth or paper towel. To deep clean surfaces, allow the cleaner to sit for one minute, then wipe off.
  2. Spray Simple Green Granite & Stone Polish to a section of countertop.
  3. Wipe off with a non-abrasive, soft cloth or paper towel.
  4. Repeat in sections until you've polished the entire surface.

CAUTION: DO NOT USE ON FLOORS - newly polished surfaces may become slick or slippery. Clean off overspray from floors with a cleaner such as Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner.
